What does the 14-Day Health Warranty cover?

For 14 days from the date you take your pet home, we cover treatable illnesses present at the time of purchase, as diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian. Depending on the situation and the terms of your agreement, remedies may include reimbursement toward veterinary treatment, replacement, or a refund.

What does the Limited 3-Year Extended Warranty cover?

On qualifying pets, coverage extends for three years from purchase for specified congenital or hereditary conditions that materially affect the pet's health, as diagnosed and documented by a licensed veterinarian. Coverage is limited to the conditions and remedies listed in your written agreement.

What do I need to do to keep coverage valid?

Have your pet examined by a licensed veterinarian within the timeframe stated in your agreement (we recommend the first few days), follow the recommended vaccination and care schedule, keep all veterinary records and receipts, and notify us promptly — before treatment where possible — if a covered issue arises.

What isn't covered?

Coverage does not extend to injury or illness caused by accident, neglect, abuse, improper diet or housing, parasites and common conditions that resolve with routine treatment, elective procedures, cosmetic traits, or conditions arising after the coverage period. Coverage may be void if required veterinary care or documentation is missing.

How do I make a claim?

File your claim online on our Warranty & Claims page — you can upload your veterinarian's diagnosis, invoices and purchase paperwork, and add bank details for direct-deposit reimbursement. You can also call Petland Chillicothe at (740) 773-1982 and we'll walk you through it.

Is the warranty transferable?

Accepted Answer

No. Coverage applies to the original purchaser and does not transfer if the pet is rehomed or sold.
