Petland works with USDA-licensed breeders. Canine Care Certified — standards developed in 2013 under Dr. Candace Croney at Purdue University.
Licensed and inspected
The breeders we work with hold USDA licenses and are subject to unannounced federal inspections covering housing, space, sanitation, veterinary care, feeding and record keeping.
We review inspection history
A license alone isn't enough. We look at inspection reports and stop working with any kennel whose record or communication doesn't hold up.

Every puppy in our store has a traceable origin. Ask any team member, or call (740) 773-1982, and we'll pull the record with you — before any deposit.
What we won't do
We don't buy from unlicensed sources, brokers who can't produce records, or anyone who declines an inspection. If we can't verify it, we don't sell it.
