Animal welfare
Petland Cares
Petland Cares is our animal welfare commitment: better standards for the pets in our care, and real support for the animals and people in our community.
Adoption and rescue partnerships
We host adoption events with local rescue partners and help place adoptable cats and kittens through our stores. Rescue animals in our care receive the same daily health and socialization routine as every other pet in the building.
Standards we hold ourselves to
Care that can be inspected, not just described.
- Documented daily care and wellness checks for every animal
- Licensed veterinarian oversight
- Species-appropriate habitats with monitored conditions
- Staff trained on handling, nutrition and early illness signs
- Breeder standards reviewed on an ongoing basis
Disaster and emergency response
When storms and wildfires displace families, Petland stores contribute food, crates and supplies to relief efforts and shelters coordinating animal care.
In our community
Petland Chillicothe supports local shelters, school and scout education visits, and community fundraisers throughout the year. If your organization needs a partner for a pet-related event, reach out at hello@petlandchillicothe.com.
